People Ask What is the Biggest Difference Between Cultures

The Refrigerator!!!

There are other differences, of course.  The lack of ice, kids with pacifiers until they are 5, the Oreos that can't be crushed as easily, the less frequent use of swim diapers.  But the refrigerator is definitely one of the main differences that affect us on a daily basis.

First of all, it doesn't even look like a refrigerator!

Secondly, it's small.
And I had to take a shelf out just so I could fit the ginourmous ketchup.

And finally, THIS is the freezer.
What you see is a bag of spinach, half a bag of french fries and a small container of ice cream.
There's also half a bag of chicken nuggets and a couple of fish sticks behind what you can see.

The Swiss, more so than the neighboring Germans and French, basically do their grocery shopping daily. This has been tricky to adjust to but we've managed some really tasty meals.  However, I can't wait to hit up Market Basket as soon as we get back home!
